Membership

Partners for Environmental Progress (PEP) is a non-profit association of business and education leaders who share the vision of applying science-based environmental best practices to business and community issues.

PEP’s 200+ members are concerned businesses and organziations, both large and small – who value our unique natural resources and our economy. We understand that the future of our area depends on ensuring a balance between business development, job creation, industrial growth and a healthy environment.

PEP promotes a balanced view of business and industry contributions to this area by providing factual information about safety and environmental performance. Through community involvement and this science-based conciliatory approach, we strive to build a resilient Gulf Coast.
Our members represent the diversity of business and industry along the Gulf Coast.

We partner with numerous area organizations to create a sustainable community: socially, economically and environmentally, including Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, Mobile Bay National Estuary Program and the Metropolitan Planning Organization.

PEP hosts events that bring together members and other community leaders to share knowledge, best practices and good time, including an annual golf invitational, membership breakfasts, environmental stewardship awards ceremony and a reverse trade show.

As a member of PEP, you will be informed about timely issues affecting the environment and business along the Gulf Coast. You will have an opportunity to network at our regular meetings with senior decisionmakers of industrial sites. We will also provide you with updates on projects at local industrial sites and information about member companies.

Annual Membership Fees are based on the number of your company’s local full-time employees.

Dues Structure

PEP’s membership dues are based on the number of employees. Generally, this will be the number of local full-time employees; however, if your employee base fluctuates or is weighted by part-time employees, please use an average number of employees. Dues are payable on a calendar year basis and are due when invoiced. Your invoices will be forwarded to you upon approval of your membership application. Applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors at their monthly meeting.
